Spring is Here!: A Story About Seeds is a story about ants planting a seed and the process it takes for it to grow. They plant the seed in the dirt and wait for the rain to help it grow. Once it begins to grow they see a stem and then some leaves and then a bud. When the flower blooms it signifies to the ants that spring is finally here. This book is great for beginners when they are learning how to read because it is a simple story that helps them with familiar word and phrases. Each student could draw the cycle of planting a seed and what it takes for it to grow and blossom. ( )

This is a cute story about these ants planting a seed and wathcing it grow as spring arrives. I think this would be great for a student to read on their own, most likely first grade. I wouldn't read this book as a read aloud because there is not enough substance to it but it is great for a beginner reader. ( )
