This book is about idioms and shows students how to think outside the box. I would show my students this book to help them understand the meaning of idioms that are used in everyday life. I like how this book incorporated funny idioms that I grew up hearing, and the way it explain them. ( )

Although it fails to explain the origin of each saying, this is a great resource to introduce idioms. ( )

This book shares a compilation of different sayings and gives them as examples to idioms. For a teacher, this helps explains old sayings if they are still alive in the future. however, I cannot be sure how up to date some of these sayings will be in the future and whether I will be able to use them in a future classroom where they may not be used by modern society anymore. A book of Idioms, The book "You Let the Cat Out of the Bag" is a great book for introducing students to a new world of literature that they may have heard or even said but never understood. This book can also help students that are newer to the States better understand some of the things people might say that make no sense without context. ( )
