First half of this book was pure and utter trash. I nearly put it down never to pick it up again. I find it insane to take half of the book basically explaining what happened in the previous 7 (why the hell buy this just for a recap?!). I stuck with it just because after 7 books I was sickly invested. It got much better after the first half, not great but better than crap. ( )

Ooh, this book was full of action and you can clearly see that the series is coming nearer to the end. I totally love this series and I can't wait to read the next book. ( )

Most of these have been a pretty quick read for me but I struggled with this one for some reason. I enjoyed the story well enough, as usual, but found myself annoyed with Mark and Laura for their crap. Once I got rolling again it was fine, leaving a ton of stuff unresolved of course, but I generally enjoy Betsy and Sinclair and (spoiler alert) am glad Tina is ok. ( )

I'm glad that I've continued with the Undead books. Undead and Unwelcome was such an easy and entertaining read. It's just what I've been needing lately. ( )

I love Queen Betsy. I think she's my favorite vampire, though I admit, I don't have a shoe obsession like she does. The jokes are a little lacking in this book, but it's a very fast read, it has a great tempo, and leads up to a great ending (though it's definitely a little rushed). ( )

'Unacceptable,' Sinclair said flatly and, wonder of wonders, Michael was nodding in agreement. Finally, they had a goal in common: ignoring my express wishes. (chapter 27)

Book description
Betsy Taylor has problems that only a vampire queen/suburban wife could possibly understand. Such as taking the body of her werewolf friend Antonia—who died in her service—to Cape Cod, where she's not sure if the Wyndham werewolves will welcome her with fangs or friendship. Meanwhile, her posse back in St. Paul is sending frantic e-mails alerting Betsy to her half-sister's increasingly erratic behavior. Looks like the devil's daughter is coming into her own—and raising hell.
