Man, am I behind on this series. God knows when it came out in hardcover, and I'm finally getting around to reading the paperback-- just in time for the IDW New Frontier comic book, which I'm afraid to admit that I'll probably pick up despite the fact that this and the last few installments of New Frontier didn't do much for me. I'd like to lay the blame on the three-year jump, but I was already losing interest before then; mostly, I don't think I'd ever settled into the series' first big change in the status quo. Much like Before Dishonor, this book reads like Peter David on automatic.
