Very helpful resource for me as I consider the decision to begin homeschooling at the top of next year. After assessing my child's learning style, I could review all the materials in her book to get a feel for what may work for my child. It makes the task of selecting curriculum a lot less daunting. This is a great introductory resource for some of the best homeschool curricula out there! I recommend that you start with this book, then do your own research to help you lead to the right choices for each of your children.

The most valuable part of this book is the beginning that can help you narrow your curriculum search based on your homeschool philosophy by taking the quick quiz to find out if you lean towards traditional, Charlotte Mason education, Classical education, Unit study, Unschooling etc.... ( )

This is an invaluable resource for home school educators. It covers the basic approaches to homeschooling, helps you identify what approach might be best for you, and helps you figure out your child's learning style. The author's goal is to help you become "goal-oriented" rather than curriculum driven so that you can make the choices that best fit your agenda. ( )

Great book for decided how to determine which style to use in homeschooling. Author shows bias toward what she considers Christian curriculums, not all curriculums are listed. Author has website for further reviews of curriculum. ( )
