I actually love this book, I used to read it while growing up and now I read it to my students. It’s a good book for younger kids because they talk about dinosaurs which they love. The parents are putting their dinousars to sleep like they are their kids. ( )

Preachy and manipulative and almost all the moms are in dresses. But cute dinosaurs. ( )

Playful peek into the homes of dinosaur children and their parents at bedtime.

Substituting children for dinosaurs, Jane Yolen explores a world where dinosaurs are animated and with nightly routines. These anthropomorphized reptillians run the spectrum of different species, from the Pteranodon to the Stegosaurus. Composed of familiar bedtime scenes, it’s the perfect book to read and share with your child right before they go to sleep. With delightfully and humorously drawn illustrations that never grow tiresome or ordinary, it will instantly become one of your child’s favorites on its way to becoming a classic.
