El presente trabajo, escrito por H
d' Arbois de Jubainville, es un ensayo
sobre los principios fundamentales
de la mitología céltica. Dicho
ensayo está basado en el estudio del
tratado que los irlandeses conocen
con el nombre de Lebar Gabala
"Libros de las conquistas" o "de las
invasiones". Esta obra constituye
un comentario de ese documento
tal como se lo encuentra en el Libro
de Leinster, manuscrito de mediados
del siglo XII, siguiendo un método
exegético en el que se ha respetado
el antiguo orden en el que Irlanda
dispusiera antaño los relatos fab
losos que constituyen la forma tr
dicional de su mitología.
