This text is structured to reflect three main areas of activity and concern in European financial affairs: alliances, acquisitions and privatization; corporate finance and restructuring; and risk management. The cases presented deal with finance both at the corporate level and at the international level, dealing with issues and problems that have a global impact on markets, governments and public and private institutions, as well as corporations. Cases are European and deal with both manufacturing and service industries.
