It starts with the seeds and goes through the many stages such as shoot, seedling, sapling etc. I really enjoyed one of the illustrations that showed the trees in each season. It also talked about how the fruit grows through pollination. There was a simple diagram of a flower to show how pollination happens. I would read this book in the fall and hopefully go to an orchard. We could also do an art project where we use scrap paper to make the tree and as a class make a giant version of the growth process of an apple tree. ( ) This book is about the life cycle of a Golden Delicious apple. It takes the reader through how apples first start growing from the very beginning and all the components that make apples grow. This book also states facts about trees that are full grown as well as different parts of the tree and their uses. AIt is a good informational book which is suitable for intermediate students. The book contents include some biology terms such as style, stamen, and photosynthesis. It uses metaphor and comparison to make the contents more clear to readers. The book mainly talked about the whole development of an apple tree. It can be used it science class and biology class to let students know how the plant grows. no reviews | add a review
