This was very short compared to the book. It does catch most of the high points & the tone, though. The Depression is depressing & OMG-I'm-gonna-cry if it goes on another minute. Seriously, if you ever get to feeling as if you have it rough, read this book then imagine it's your family.

If you're upset about Mexican's sneaking across the border, you should read this, too. Might give you a clue as to why so many do & the conditions they live under. ( )
