Guess who's at bat? The lovable, hilarious Amelia Bedelia is back, filling in for a sick player on the Grizzlies baseball team. Watch out! Because nobody plays ball like Amelia Bedelia.

Read this to Little One tonight. Being a week old I'm not sure she totally appreciated Amelia' antics but it was a fun late night read that took me back to my childhood. ( )

This author's memoir is a journey through the kaleidoscope geography of the partially-sighted, where everyday encounters become revelations, struggles, or simple triumphs. Not fully blind, not fully sighted, the author lives in what he describes as "the customs-house of the blind", a midway point between vision and blindness that makes possible his unique perception of the world.

Book description
Play Ball, America Bedelia, is about Amelia willingly helping a team of boys with their baseball game. She may not know a thing about baseball but she does help the Grizzlies win the game and gain the approval of the team. This story is great and hilarious. It is about helping others out as best they can and being accepting to anyone and everyone.
