The idea behind the book is excellent. However, this book is more for Muslims than Muslims. This book seems to be more a work of Muslim apologetics than a neutral guide to the Qur'an. I wanted to like this book, but this polemicism put me off. A much better book is The Koran: A Very Short Introduction by Michael Cook. ( )
