For many people, the 1960s was the most wonderful decade of the 20th century, conjuring up images of The Beatles, Carnaby Street, mini skirts and Flower Power. As the old joke goes, if you can remember the 1960s, you weren't there But the era is memorable for many Scottish football fans, because during this decade their clubs produced their finest-ever teams. Kilmarnock and Dundee created title-winning sides, the latter going on to be beaten by AC Milan in the semi-final of the European Cup. Dunfermline appeared in three Cup Finals, winning two of them. However, for many fans, the team of the decade was the Celtic side that won the European Cup in 1967 - The Lisbon Lions. This book attempts to show that there was an even finer team in that decade than the legendary Lions, one that has been vastly underrated - the Rangers side of 1960-64.
