The premise behind this series is that a group of men leave the military and start their own security business. What is shown as the series progresses is that each of the 4 men thought that they were responsible for the death of the 5th man. In this last book, they finally figured out they all felt guilty & get the issue resolved. Cole is from the wrong side of the tracks. He is rough, hard & demanding. It's his way or the highway so to speak. Evangeline is a rich teen idol who is being stalked and needs Cole to protect her.

Both characters are very strong and tough. Neither of them wants to fall for the other one and show any vulnerability. The plot was very believable and kept me interested throughout the entire book. ( )
