A good lesson from this book is cause and effect (1) Great example of team work and how things can be accomplished when everyone comes and works together. (1) has a good message at the end (1) Has a lot of good facts that can be brought up to the students attention. Also could be used in health subject area. (1) Has good example of patterns (1) have students predict what they think will happen next while reading the story out loud. (1) how there will be challenges and how to overcome them. (1) I really liked the message of this book. I think it is important for children to know at a young age that you will go through life sometimes questioning yourself and who you really are. It is about being yourself and really embracing the fact that you are (1) I think it would be a great tool for introducing a social studies unit on native americans. (1)	I thought this story brought up the old lesson of "the grass is always greener on the other side" (1) my favorite book growing up as a kid (1) Not sure if I completely understood the message behind this book (1) Read this book for teaching social studies. You could discuss math and introduce measurement to the class. (1) This book reminded me a lot of adam and eve (1) This book was personally my favorite out of all the Leo Lionni books. I thought that the story was cute and that children would really enjoy this book. It has a great message (1) this can be used in many subjects. Could be used for many different lessons for students (1) understanding self and others. (1) until one day she brings her purple plastic purse and he takes it away from her because she is not paying attention in class. In this fun story you will learn about punishment and why lilly purse got taken away. (1) where he goes through his daily life and learns new lessons each day. (1) You can have a good discussion after reading this book. Example of questions are What was wrong with wishing for golden wings? What lesson did Tico learn as he began giving his golden feathers to people who needed them more than he did? (1) you could use this book to introduce how cause and effect works.
