I could use this book to talk to my class about the different types of costumes that are out there (1) and because I could relate to it. This book can be used to teach children about the cultural differences in our world (1) and because it tells the story of the history of the locomotive. This book could be used as a lead in to talk about the different types of transportation we have available. (1) and black and white photos for the negative statements. (1) and can be used to discuss what it's like to make bad choices or make mistakes (1) and celebrating the differences of the families in my classroom. (1) and could be used as a creative writing prompt about what they would make their coat into if it was old and full of holes (1) and could be used to work on counting skills. I also really like this book because it is Halloween themed (1) and diversity. I chose this book because it was read in LitBlock and I really enjoyed how informative it was (1) and for younger grades (1) and has been for years. I would read this book to my class on the first day of school (1) and how children depend on their loved ones to take care of them too. (1) and how each character sees the other. I chose this book because I read it to my two year old classroom a while back (1) and how every family is different than the next (1) and how it turns into a butterfly. (1) and how much diversity it represented. (1) and how that differs from other animals (1) and how that makes our world special and diverse. (1) and how they'd fix it if they could. (1) and how we are lucky to be able to read freely when we would like to. (1) and how we can fix it in the future. I used this in the 3rd grade classroom and loved the open and honest responses I received. (1) and how we handle them best. (1) and how we handled it. It could also be used to use as a creative writing prompt for the class to write about a time that they have destroyed or messed something up that didn't belong to them (1) and I am all about connecting music to learning. This book could be used to talk about numbers (1) and I don't know anyone who hasn't read or heard about this book! This book could be used to teach patterns (1) and I love her! I would use this book in a lesson about animals (1) and I love stories about animals. I also originally thought this would be a book about unlikely friends (1) and I love to sing! This book can be used to open children's minds to the idea that there are multiple languages out there other than just the one or two they may be aware of. (1) and I really enjoy poetry. I could use this book in my classroom to talk about poetry in more than just the traditionally taught way. I could also use it to talk about perspectives (1) and I really loved it! I would use this book as one of the books used for small group reading groups (1) and I still love it to this day! (1) and I want the children in my classroom to be able to do the same. This book could be used to talk about patterns (1) and I was hoping this book would help me open my eyes to what they do for the environment! I would use this in my classroom to supplement a bug/insect thematic lesson (1) and if not (1) and it brings up the perfect opportunity to teach a lesson on being thankful and grateful for what we have. It also could provide great benefits for teaching about being caring to those around us. (1) and it could be used to teach children about what it means to try new things. It also could be used to teach children that we don't always agree on things (1) and it is a book that sticks with the heart forever. (1) and it is a collection of very cute short stories. I would use this book in my classroom to talk about and promote the value of being a good friend. (1) and it is one that could be used for a variety of lessons. This book could be used to teach point of view (1) and it made me smile forever. This book could be used to discuss words and letter formation. In this book (1) and it makes the book really funny. (1) and it opened a great door for us to be able to look at the clouds and talk about what we saw. I would use this in my classroom to do a similar task - to talk about the clouds (1) and it opens the eyes to diversity and acceptance. (1) and it really helped some of the kids with their separation anxiety. I would want to use this book in my future classroom for that same topic - to discuss separation (1) and it really helped them think about how the ant was feeling. The next time we played outside (1) and it really hit home! I would use this book in the classroom to talk about how lucky we are to be able to come to school and learn every day (1) and it relates prefixes to things that children can relate to (1) and it shows that it is important to share and think about the feelings of others. (1) and perspectives. This story offers the view point of both the boy and the ant (1) and so even though it is an educational book (1) and so it was appealing to me. This book could be used as either an intro or a closure to talking about the phases of the moon. (1) and something that is fun and relative to life outside of school. (1)	and that it matters. I would also use it as encouragement for anyone who is having a hard time with learning to read. (1) and the children could discuss if they've ever had one (1) and the class could create our own pumpkin craft to put in the classroom (1) and the different faces they have. This could be used during the Fall season (1) and the mom steps in to bring resolution to the girls. (1) and this book talks about the path a mother duck takes when she is preparing for her babies. This book could be used to talk about the life cycle of a duckling (1) and to bring attention to Albert Einstein so we could learn about him as a class. (1) and to discuss the love that our families have for us. (1) and to introduce the story of Malala. (1) and to talk about all the places we might like to visit if we could (1) and we could talk about what their favorites are. This could also be used to come up with a fun creativity craft (1) and what it means to be courageous in a scary situation. (1) and what it means to be healthy. This would link to the book as well by bringing up conversations about doctors and what they do for us. (1) and what it means to them (1) and what their grandparents are like. (1) and what we can use our imaginations to see in the clouds. This would be a great prompt for a mini-field trip out to the playground to look at the clouds/sky. I chose this book because I appreciate that the story was told from a point of view that is out of the ordinary. In addition to that (1) which is something that a lot of kids may or may not know about (1) which this one does. I would use this in my classroom to talk to the class about how important reading is (1) who is invited to her first American birthday party. It's a cute story (1) with a description underneath about how our jack-o-lantern is feeling based on the face it is given. (1) with Miss Bindergarten. (1)
