At times The Fatherhood reads like a massive name dropping exercise by the authors (at one point an author lets slip that he was once on a boat with Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth), with a distinct lack of substance. The front page heralds interviews with Ben Stiller, David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, et al. about fatherhood, some of the interviews last about two paragraphs and most are forgettable or not really applicable to the average dad (Matt Damon recommends keeping the same nanny for all your kids' childhoods because children get very attached to nannies, while Hemsworth says we should the huge box office power that we all obviously have to ensure we can work around our children's needs).… (more)
