My favorite book growing up was The Parent Trap so it was no surprise that I enjoyed this twist on the book. We have half-sisters, Kat and Blake, who initially start out as friends at camp before realizing they share the same father.
Their very different upbringings shape their outlook on life, their trust, and their emotional issues about themselves and their futures. I enjoyed the depth of their personalities, slowly revealed so that the reader understands why they act as they do.
Yes, there's romance, but there's so much more. There's heart, history, and hope. A fun read whether you're at the beach or snuggled in a blanket during cold winter months - the story will bring beautiful Destin, Florida, to you to warm your heart!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of this heartfelt story.… (more)

JillHannah | 6 other reviews | Nov 20, 2023 | I am not a fan of books in the romance genre usually, but i did somewhat enjoy this book.. Even though I felt like killing one of the leading characters for awhile, and despite the fact that I have no understanding of the internet influencer craze! I for one have always wanted to make my own choices about my life, fashion, home decor, etc. Despite that, I enjoyed this book. It was fun. A little sappy, but not too much. A little sad and melancholy and self-pitying, but not too much. A little predictable in the romance department as well. But I think the contrast of the personalities of the two main characters helped balance that out a bit. This is a good read for lovers of romance fiction, especially with a beach theme. The book was given to me as a gift, and I wondered at the choice of genre at first, but I did find somethings to enjoy about the book and the characters.… (more)
