This story is about acceptance of other races represented by colors in this world. Its story includes the colors mixing and creating new colors and how they all learn to live together despite their differences.

This book is amazing at explaining how just because we are different colors, doesn't mean we need to be separated. The book talks about how 3 colors separated themselves from each other and it took one blue and one yellow creating a green for everyone to be in one community rather than 3. This book did an amazing job through both visuals and words on how separate groups can be mean until they realize how amazing it is to just be one big colorful group. I use it as a read aloud with my kindergarten class to discuss diversity and segregation, as well as multiculturalism and acceptance.… (more)

Such an adorable book, explains the colors and mixing primary colors. Not only that but it also has a meaning throughout the story. Talking about how pride can be set aside and when put together they become one and stronger.
