"The LCSNA is saddened to learn of the death of Nina Demurova. Thanks to Victor Fet for writing this kind remembrance: On July 11, Nina Mikhailovna Demurova (1930-2021) died in Moscow, the foremost Russian Carrollian researcher and translator. She authored a classical translation of both Alice books in 1967. Over the decades, Demurova was the most influential figure in the Russian Carrollian world, and touched many lives.
