Scary misunderstanding that turns out well

All the clues seem to indicate a kidnapping will take place at the Christmas Market in Austria. Eva and Brooke are very scared and actually hear the plans. No one takes them seriously.

Tween read parents will approve of!

It helped to have read the first two Pack-n-Go Girls mysteries set in Austria, as the three books make a trilogy.

Mystery of the Ballerina Ghost is set in a castle in Austria. Grandfather has the best in mind for his granddaughter who is tutored and has private lessons of all kinds. They are happy to have visitors from Colorado, USA, who find a mystery in progress. Events get tense with a possible ghost in the castle, and the visitors pack to leave. However, all works out for the best as the mystery is solved. Horseback riding is part of this story which is perfect for the girls who love travel, adventure, and horses. Quite a fun read!
Pack-n-Go Girls are Lexile rated as high second grade for schools that use AR (Accelerated Reader) and rated O with F&P (Fountas & Pinnell).

Mystery of the Secret Room: Austria 2 (Pack-n Go… by Janelle Diller

Appropriate for tweens (parents need not worry). This book spends a lot of time on the build up to the solution. The problem part mentions clues such as a silver locket that has long been hidden, names of people who have never been mentioned to family members, and a trip to Salzburg. The entire book is set in Austria. The main characters are Eva who lives in Austria, and the cowgirl (Brooke) who is visiting from Colorado. Eva likes ballet while Brooke likes horses.
