Pretty good with the back and forth, but that back and forth between the couple got annoying. I didn't care for the resolution to their problem. It was too sudden and didn't make much sense. But a cute story up to the ending.

Enjoyable, quick read, without a great deal of depth.

The storyline was interesting and unusual. Three-year-old Riley spots bull-rider Chase Garrett at a competition and dashes off after him, claiming that Chase is his Daddy. Riley’s father, also called Chase, died a few months earlier and it quickly emerges that Riley believes that Heaven is just another place on the bull-riding circuit and that his Daddy has finally come home.

It is a sweet romance. The principal three characters, Chase, Riley and Maddie (Riley’s mother) are people that you are willing to invest time in. There are only a few other characters, including Maddie’s four brothers and a single mother friend of Maddie’s. They don’t contribute a great deal to the story other than providing a little bit of tension alongside a very strong hint as to the subject of the second book in this series.

A couple of minor criticisms: the very first sentence is way, way too long and nearly put me off bothering with the book; and the proof-reading towards the end has slipped up a bit, allowing through a few incorrect homonyms.

My first NASCAR romance. Pretty good may december story. The age difference here is 22 years. The heroine is 28 and the hero is 50. I enjoyed that the story involved difficulties revolving around their age difference. Their families did not approve. The ending was a bit facile but not so much that it impaired my enjoyment of the story. The NASCAR element was not overwhelming. So if you're like me and all you know about car racing is that they go around in a circle and occasionally crash, you won't be lost in the details. I particularly enjoyed the serendipitous story concerning Rufus, the dog. But really, why are so many dogs named Rufus in stories? I think more heroes should be named Rufus but maybe that's because it's my husband's name. And then there's Rufus Sewell. Seriously hot.
