Glorious Old Relic: The French Castle and Old Fort… by Brian Leigh Dunnigan

Outstanding history of Fort Niagara- its founding by the French, the British occupation and finally the American period. The author details changes in the fort's (and particularly, the French Castle's) varying uses and resulting structural changes over the centuries, including but limited to the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and War of 1812.
