Is part of the Tiny Folk series, but can be read as a standalone; there's an intro page. In this tale, Aco (looks like an acorn) and Roo (looks like a mushroom) go to stay with Iggy, Slimy (a snail), and Kora while the humans redo the garden. Roo worries it won't be the same when they get back, and Roo is right - it's better! Flutter, a bird with blue feathers and a long, pointed beak, thinks so too. There are five "taking a closer look" questions at the end, which have a social-emotional focus.

What an absolute delight! Every story in here was great. I particularly loved "Everywhere" (Wiccan and Hulkling, on a road trip, meet a fabulous trans lady who's lived thousands of years and been to space) and "No Trespassing: Beware of Dog" (introduction of Muzzle, as part of Peach's crew doing a heist for hormones and other basic drugs to meet people's needs). "Everything's Coming Up Aces" (Gwenpool) and "Jumbo Carnation's Ultimate Creations" were also super cute.… (more)

Beach Nightmare was a really intriguing horror graphic novel!

Emma went to the beach and lost her phone in the water. Luckily someone returned it! But now there's some strange pictures on it... much scarier than before. Suddenly everything is going wrong and she's being called back to the beach.

This gives me Goosebumps vibes but in a graphic novel! It's quite the read and is great for young horror fans (and older ones!). I think it's a great addition to horror lover bookshelves everywhere! There's mystery and suspense in this book in combination with the absolutely amazing illustrations.

Three out of five stars.
