The War Against Poetry by Russell A. Fraser

An excellent but little mentioned study of how the West (English culture in particular) sloughed off its archaic and reactionary forces (what Islamic culture struggles with today) at a critical and violent time. Happily do we receive the fruits of this labor.

Young Shakespeare: Volume 1 (Vol 1) by Professor Russell Fraser

I'm so interested in the subject, and this author was recommended, but I've tried and tried to wade through Fraser's 5-line-long sentences with show-off syntax and I'm failing.
