Policewomen by Lee Frost
Great drive-in fare from Crown International that sees kick-ass policewoman Lacy Bond (Sondra Currie) being recruited to take down a band of gold-smuggling female mobsters. A rollicking plot from director Lee Frost and Wes Bishop is full of sexist cops, bikini-clad gangsters and laughable kung fu moves. Frost's direction leaps with gusto from one unintentionally laughable scene to another all of which is topped off with lashing of exploitation tropes. Sondra Currie is no great shakes as an actress but goes about her gangster-busting with plenty of energy. Jeannie Bell turns up as an undercover secret agent and provides good punchy support.… (more)
First flick is a classic awful SF picture, with Bruce Dern. and for reasons no one has ever explained, Casey Casem. It's a howler. Haven't watched the other one.
