Lushly illustrated version of the traditional Japanese folktale of the young Urashima Taro, who rides on the back of the Giant Tortoise to the Enchantress of the Sea in search of his father who vanished at sea while fishing. Urashima eventually returns to his small village to find 300 years have past, and that the story of Urashima Taro, who followed his father into the sea, has become a local legend.
