another book which asked me to learn more. this is more than "sword and sorcery".
I can't really remember why I didn't think this book was great.War,mythology,gods,christianity,vikings,romans,
the development of siege weapons and some very memorable characters.But I do remember fighting to get through the 800 pages of small print.
