Anthology of Children's Literature - 2nd Ed. (1948) by Carrie E. Scott Johnson, and Evelyn R. Sickels Edna

I had this book as a child in the 50's-60's and lost it somewhere on life's journey. I found another copy of it at a friend's garage sale in the early 80's and bought it immediately. In the days before cable, video games, and graphic novels, I spent hours and hours reading and rereading the stories and getting lost in the pictures. A great book!

Anthology Of Children's Literature by Johnson,; Sickels Edna, Evelyn; Sayers, Frances; Eichenberg, Illustrated by Fri

This is an old edition, but it gives a great place to start looking for quality children's literature from years ago. It is also a good resource for the storyteller.
