Another excellent read from the author! The team is the very best because they all get along and are well suited to working together and filling in for each other when personal life has to take precedence for a short time. This case is more complicated than they expect as it starts out with several corpses of varying stages found very shortly after the most recent were dispatched. Those and several others keep piling up as the team works with more due diligence even when their roster drops a bit. A complicated case relieved with their signature sense of humor. LOVED it!

A truly disturbing premise.
Each character is finely developed and made very personal. The plot stays active and rises to a crescendo as the end nears. The plot twists are mind boggling and the red herrings shine. The whole thing is altogether too believable. A great and involving read.

After finishing #15 read to me by the robot (it's a vision thing), I was delighted to see that the first in series was available by a real professional narrator as this series is new to me.
This case is a little too close to reality and begins with a skull instead of a fish hooked by an angler in a cold mountain lake. That leads to discoveries of murder, human trafficking and more on an international scale. Interesting to meet the characters and to see the changes time brought to the team. Very good start!
It's a great read with all sorts of twists, red herrings, and awful puns.

You'd think I'd feel disadvantaged coming late to the series. Not so!
Detective Nash has a great team who work well together for justice and not just the easiest solution. It starts with a displaced ex-soldier with no place to go who returns to a place he felt happy as a child. Boy does that change quickly! He reports what he found but some think he is responsible. Not possible. But as he does have a charge for B&E and is basically homeless, he is sent to a psychiatric clinic for PTSD. Meanwhile, the entire house and property have to be examined with all due diligence, only to find more gruesome surprises. It's a great read with all sorts of twists, red herrings, and bad puns.
