I love this story! Ever since I was young it has been one of my favorites. I like the way that the words are written because you can also sing it to a tune. The words tell a story about a dragon but there is also a song that goes with it. Readers who who are just beginning to read could find this helpful when practicing sentence fluency and recognizing words. It also engages the reader in the text by adding in the extra feature of music. The pictures are also very children friends and depicts a dragon as friendly creature and not a monster. The main purpose of this text is to introduce new readers to books and give them options of books they may find engaging.… (more)
