This is my preferred text for teaching logic. The text employs what I have found to be the most frequently-used formal notation, and the exam copy includes a CD-ROM with multiple exam versions for each chapter. My biggest complaint about the text is that many of the problem sets include unnecessarily vague or ambiguous statements which only serve to confuse the introductory student.
