What a tragic story; I learned much from reading this book. This is the story of a young girl, Florencia, from Mozambique who loses her leg due to an old buried landmine. It is also a part of a much larger story of amputees and landmines and the authors' determination to help people get prosthetics. Florencia's journey is truly remarkable.
This book at times was poorly written and consistently poorly edited. I found it odd the way the authors' referred to themselves throughout.
I still gave 5 Stars due to content. I believe grammatical errors should be forgiven with this as it is one of those books that everyone should read.… (more)
