About the Author
Michaela Muntean received a degree in comparative literature from the University of Wisconsin and taught Russian literature for a year. She worked as an editor in the children's book department at Western Publishing Company. She wrote over sixty-five Sesame Street and Golden Book titles, including show more Panda Bear's Paintbox and Theodore Mouse Goes to Sea for Western Publishing Company. She also worked at Parent's Magazine, where she wrote Bicycle Bear and The Very Bumpy Bus Ride and other titles for the Parents' Magazine Book Club. One of my favorite books as a child that created a love of color and a desire to paint.
Note: I received an ARC of this book at an ALA conference.
This is a very cute Children's book about a little mouse that longed to go out to sea.
Everything for Theodore was the same. Very repetitive. Very Boring. Until he decided to take his bed and use it as a boat to go off into the sea and explore. Theodore had many adventures of which I will not spoil here. It is worth the read. It is very cute.
The print in the book is rather small so this book is really meant for an adult to read to a child and show the pictures. The pictures are of a good quality and they coincide with the story.
I recommend this book. It's a good one for kids to be read as part of show and tell or a bed time story.… (more)
