This book explores what it feels like when you're mad, and what things you can do when you're mad. He does every mad thing he does to stop feeling mad, but the more he makes other people mad the madder his family becomes, and the sadder he feels. His parents take him to go see a nice lady (psychiatrist). She talks about how he can let the mads out, and why his parent's fighting isn't his fault. He learned how to get his mads out by drawing them, pounding them in clay, and playing out his mads in a safe place.
