Stitch patterns for creating 2 color fabrics that look equally pleasing on both sides are presented in this book. The stitch patterns are all essentially slip stitch, using only one color per row.

There are three basic categories of reversibles: those that look the same on both sides, those that have mirror image sides, and those that have a pattern on one side and stripes on the other. Her categories include (1) simple reversibles; (2) chain patterns; and (3) reversible geometrics.

The 156 stitch patterns are presented in much the same format as Barbara G. Walker's first two volumes; line by line instructions and a b & w photo. In this case there are always 2 photos; one of each side.

Reversible knitting yields a fairly thick fabric, so it is best suited for making scarves and wraps. The author has some color photos of her creations and they include vests and sweaters.

This book is useful for the creative intermediate knitter. It is written in very clear language, and the idea behind it is unique.

Interestingly in the acknowledgments, the author thanks Barbara G. Walker for "encouragement, advice, and support."
