If you are devotedly interested in this, you may find it interesting. Even so, even as ethnographies go, this may be a bit dry. The history is interesting, and I believe there is a fantastic book buried in this minutia, however, the drab nature of the writing makes the book inaccessible and perhaps dull. Again, be it the only book on the topic, it may be the best, and it isn't a "bad book," but the delivery of the content no doubt makes it "un-good."
