For God and Country by Jerome Prescott

I read this book when I was stuck in the hospital. I'm not Christian, but I thought the book was good anyway. It portrayed a man's attempt to reconcile his faith with his humanity. I appreciated the sensitivity given to the issue of contemporary military topics. It was patriotic without being anti-intellectual, and romantic without being trite. Four stars.
