This book was fun to read. Nature lovers will especially love it. While it would be a great book for 2nd an 3rd graders, I found it "high-interest" as well, meaning it would also be a good fit for fifth graders who are reading below grade level.

If you judge a book by its cover, then you want to grab this funny book. For those who've survived summer camp, students will relate to Bug Blonsky. There are clever situations; crazy characters; and lots of fun in this book. It should really appeal to 3rd-5th graders.

Bug Blonsky and His Swamp Scout Survival Guide is about a wiggly seven-year-old nicknamed Bug, who is always getting into trouble. It's similar to the first Bug Blonsky book, except this time Bug is getting into trouble at camp rather than at school. It's easy to read and the illustrations are funny and engaging.
My seven-year-old said he liked it and he would read it again, but he didn't like it quite as much as Bug Blonsky and His Very Long List of Don'ts.
