This was not as good as "exciting" as the first but the character development went much deeper. The scenes were similar to other books and descriptions not so fresh...hungry, canned food, dirty clothes, etc. And sadly, I was bored enough that when I picked up a copy of Her Royal Spyness, I took a short break from Rage but I did back and finish it. maybe by accident I found the perfect combo read as these two books worked wonderfully as....oh this OLD THING is a little droll give me some Rage...and vice versa when I got tired of teen angst I really needed an English mystery.… (more)

This is another YA Apoca. Adventure with some nice twists. Think SK's The Cell but less obvious. After reading State of Emergency, Virulent and Wool the past few weeks I was not sure I could take anymore! But the rat won out in this recent addiction. Normally, I do not like multiple perspectives but all the character's thoughts were remarkably similar so there was no difficulty in switching between characters. This could be a bad thing or a good thing. Regardless, the book is unputdownable if you are into this genre.… (more)
