Odd addition to the odd Avengers universe

Basically a glorified episode guide, this thin volume contains fifteen pages of behind-the-scenes information about the Prisoner television series, followed by lengthy detailed summaries of all seventeen episodes. More of a collectible than anything at this point, the book is a nice keepsake of the show, but offers very little (if anything) that a quick Google search couldn't provide. For Prisoner and Patrick McGoohan fans only.

Episode by episode, with plot, list of actors and photos. This is good in a just-the-facts way, and of course it features many photos, but it doesn't come close to all the interviews and additional production info found in Bob Rocca's 2009 The Professionals.

In 1995 I enjoyed watching the repeats of the 1960s' TV series "The Avengers" so much that when I saw this book about the series advertised I put it on my Christmas wants list. Therefore, I reckon it would've been January 1996 when I read it.

It's written by a dedicated fan of the show who covers all eras including "The New Avengers" from the 1970s. Plenty of quality photos are also included.
