5-Minute Book Marketing for Authors: Easy and… by Penny C. Sansevieri
Sandevieri understands that in the days of self-publishing, authors need to market their work on several levels, using several electronic platforms, to reach an audience. Experienced book marketers will find new techniques to try or validation in their own marketing plan. Beginners will find many steps are easy to follow and implement with a limited budget.
Even though this book is short, I found several things to do to help spread the word about my inspirational novels. Some of it I've heard before, like build a newsletter list, but other things I haven't like setting up your Author Central Page for other countries. This is a short enough book with enough meat not to be overwhelming. I am also going to sign up for her newsletter for more ongoing helpful tips.
Ebooks telling authors how to market their books are a dime-a-dozen. This one, however, seems to be much better than most. You may already be familiar with some of the strategies included here, such as optimizing your Amazon author page, book categories, or requesting reviews from fans, but there's more information here. Best of all, they're all non-obnoxious ways to market without hounding people or engaging in borderline unethical methods. How well do they work? Well, I guess that remains to be seen, and some (such as GR giveaways) are already becoming out-of-date, but I think this is one of the better books I've seen so far in this field.… (more)
Good ideas and insights, but I really have not got the time to search or connect to other pinners as well as upload lots of pictures. I find the app very clumsy to use and I struggle to find the bits I need. the book however would be very worthwhile if you are a regular Pinterest user and wanted to use it to increase visibililty
