This very small book will help you to keep the reason for Christmas in perspective. Step back and actually enjoy the Christmas season for what it was meant to be!
Often inspiring call to mission that becomes tedious due to constant repetition.
More is not more. Less is more. This is a good reminder about the reason for the season and especially apt at the start of the holiday season. A week from now, stores will be celebrating Black Friday by opening on Thursday to satisfy the hordes of shoppers. Where is Jesus in this frantic display of consumer greed? What is Christmas? A lot of what the author writes I can agree with, but then sometimes he goes a little further than I would be comfortable with.
Short, sweet and right to the point! Don't spend more than you earn and don't act as if you are owed anything. Give and save! Get out there and work because work is a blessing from God. Remember that God doesn't print out money, he provides the seeds so use your "seeds" to bring in a harvest. When we stand before him at Judgement, he will ask what we did with the seeds he gave us so invest wisely. The author also teaches the 10-10-80 finance method. 10 % of your income to tithe, 10% to savings and live off (or under) the 80 %! All goals I am now working towards.
