Andrew Suozzo

This book is a dry, uninspiring and altogether boring overview of the history and technical details of the Chicago Marathon. The author seems more interested in the minute details of title-sponsorship and disagreements between CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) and early race directors than in captivating his reader. Also, the author suggests several times that only those who can run a marathon in less than 4 hours deserve to call themselves marathoners (a position I soundly disagree with).
