It is a good book to introduce maybe around career day. Maybe when you are asking the student what they wanted to be. If could be inspiration for the students that don't know yet. The book was a little hard to stay focus because it was all over the place but i think children could follow quite well. The picture are very child like and cute.

Otto is a young elephant whose trunk is way smaller than all his friends. They all make fun of him and his small trunk and Otto is very upset. One day though everything changes. Otto's trunk grows out of nowhere.

This book was okay but not that great. I would not really use in my classroom. The lesson taught in the story is too not bully others, but it was kind of hard to understand. His own friends were bullying him and they used words like "hey, loser." I just did not really like this book… (more)

Otto's Trunk is a great book! Otto just wants to fit in and have a large trunk just like the rest of his friends. he tries everything to grow his trunk, but nothing throughout the week seems to help, until one day he snorted and his trunk grew very big! This is a very inspiring book and teaches students not to bully and that everyone is unique.
