Okay, I haven't actually read this book but I have looked up a lot of words in it! Very interesting, great history.

Prefixed Memoir of the Author dated 1847. Browned acidic pulp paper suggests date after 1850; say 1850-1920 (?) No publication date. The original Webster's unabridged dictionary--cover.
