How can a book be BOTH steamy and sweet? I don't know but Kelsey Wood's Unhurried Hearts really found a way to fit those two ideas together beautifully.

Anna was a wonderfully written character and I found the push and pull between her thoughts and desires was presented in such a way that it really drew me into her character and made me see her as a whole person. Although she was raised in a very strict and religiously abusive household that left her unable to take the last step in losing her virginity, she is a woman who knows her own mind, and when at almost 30 she connects with her long time crush Chris both their lives are going to change in the best way. Chis, in a wonderfully comic twist of fate, he is 6 months into his self imposed celibacy and is holding true to his plan to swear off sex until he meets the right person. Okay, you know where this is going right! 😏 But when these two meet their chemistry and passion is totally off the charts, even when nothing physical is happening between them. And when it does….just… WOW!

The romance, the passion, the story, the author's style and plotting, as well as the humor are all so finely tuned in this book you will just fall into this and then wonder where the time went because you will be so enthralled with the story. If you are looking for a story that shows how waiting for the right person at the right moment can lead you to see something that has always been hidden right in front of you, then you have a great weekend read right here.

Although this is Book Two in the West Isle Romance Series, you can easily read this as a stand alone, although I will caution you Lovingly Restored, Book One, was just as good… (more)
