Conrad Wright, who edited this book was a professor of American Church History at Harvard Divinity School. He and four others with similar backgrounds each contributed to this work. From the back cover of the book: "For some one hundred and fifty years, American Unitarians have applied their religious philosophy to the problems of their times.
