The Algonquin Chief and his wife love their son very much. Their sun is always sad at the end of the day and they want to know how to help him. In this story, they look to their tribe members for help. This book has very simple pictures and short sentences. It is best for beginning readers. There is a brief introduction about the myth. There are no references listed to support the information in this book. Readers should seek more information on the accuracy of this myth to the Algonquin tribe.

It is nice to see a story about Yokai, but it isn't all that well done. The strange text used for some of the words makes it difficult to read. The illustrations are nice.
