I was just traveling by and saw the question you posed months ago....are there any female western Authors?...The answer is Yes,I am...I write Westerns in the true form, meaning research...I have a Western out now titled "Under the West Texas Sky." R.S.Wells you can google me www.UNDERTHEWESTTEXASSKY.com...I have a series that have spun off the titled book..."The return of Sparrow." will be out within couple of months...the third is in awaiting mode to turn in...the fourth is already outlined with the fifth being developed. I write blunt and hardcore with non-stop action...Now, when I was reviewed (My manuscript) the publisher thought I was male...they even listed me as male on the jacket of the book...I had to correct the misstake before the manuscript went to print...this book has been reviewed by the male readers (Truck drivers/hard group to sell) as a book in between Lonesome Dove & Tombstone (Not knowing the author was female)...as far as types...so this book is not for pansies...So, again to answer your question, I listed as one of the few that writes hardcore westerns in a field of 500 male Western-Authors (not sure, #of women if any besides me)...I kept my full name disclosed by choice...I wanted to see if the book would sell to men and I wanted the male authors to give me a fair chance as a writer...so no pic just yet, again by choice...Hopefully, I gave you the answer you are looking for...Western-Author R.S.Wells
The most exciting and important journey one can make is the evolutionary quest of the Soul and the evolutionary aspiration of the personality. When they meet, you come Home. In that Dwelling Place, the life Purpose is revealed; knowledge becomes Wisdom; and Love becomes a reality at last. ---Alan Oken
I think I have received at least 4 as well. Another good place to receive review copies is with the ARC group through Hachette Publishing. I have received 3 from them, all new hardbacks!

I must remember the author from the other Alchemist title. That one by far was the better of the two.

Are you enjoying the Alchemist? Which author? There are two great books by the same title.

She does them in order, One For The Money, Two for the Dough, Three to get Deadly, and so on. I believe she is working on number fourteen now, but now sure. She recently put out a short book as an in between called Plum Lucky. I loved it. It was short and had Grandma in it whom I think is just hysterical.

I absolutely adore this series! I wait anxiously each year for the sequel. Wish I could forget all I know and start all over!
